 The witness was 14 years old at the time of the encounter, and resided in Ottawa, Ontario.

 

During the holiday weekend of May 1981, the witness Michel went to his friend Mark’s cabin with his father to open it up for the season.   At 2 pm on Saturday, the witness went off alone to go fishing at a small lake at one hour and a half hiking distance from his friend’s cabin.   He sat against a large maple tree and began casting by the lake.

 

At around 3:30 pm the witness heard movement around the woods behind him, then the sound became louder coming from the woods.   The witness was then hit with a ‘wicked’ stench coming from the brush behind where the sound was coming from. 

 

The witness saw was seemed to be a large man, dressed in black, emerging from the treeline, at about 25 feet from him.  The witness described the creature as 8 feet tall, 500 lbs or so.  The creature almost made it to the lake before it noticed him, The creature stopped, turned it head towards him, it looked like it didn’t have a neck. 

 

The creature looked at the witness and had a look of surprise, then anger. The sight of the witness’s shotgun seemed to make the creature even angrier.   The creature gave out two large grunts, blew and snarled all at once, then it started to growl.   The growl went through the witness, and the creature then flipped its lips and showed its teeth at the witness.   The witness noticed the creature had canines.

The creature’s hair was black and seemed groomed regularly.  The sun was shining from the hair on its body.   It was built like the ‘biggest body builder ‘that the witness had ever seem; it seemed like ‘it had muscles on top of muscles’.  The outline of the head appeared like that of a large silverback gorilla, had a short snout, and its head seemed like a large rottweiler, with the rest of his face, eyes and forehead resembling that of a monkey, except for the brow ridge which stuck out like a Neanderthal. 

 

The witness recounted being terrified and ‘wet himself’, and was paralysed with fear.  He stated that he ‘couldn’t move’.   According to the witness he stated that a couple of ‘supposed Bigfoot researchers’ had told him that the creature was a type 3 Sasquatch called a ‘Gugwe’.

 

(According to what the researchers told the witness, there are four types of Sasquatch, the Gugwe is known to be aggressive, confrontational and unpredictable.  They are also known to attack without any reason – taken from the video).

 

At one point the creature turned facing the witness and put one fist on the ground like a line backer playing football, seemingly about to charge.   The witness put his rifle down on the ground and the creature seemed less angry.  After 10-15 seconds, the creature raise himself back on two legs, emitted two grunts or growls, turn his body away and walked away still looking at the witness.   Then it started to walk back into the woods.  

 

After 5 minutes the witness made sure the creature was gone, even though the smell lingered.  He took his bag, fishing line and shotgun and ran back towards the cabin.   The witness states he never returned to that small lake, and no longer camps outside or in a trailer.  He did not tell anyone what he experienced until he was 30 years old.

 During July 1979 in Montérégie City St-Alexandre in Quebec, a 19-year-old youth claims he saw a tall gray hairy figure with glowing red eyes in a forested area.  He shot at it, apparently wounding it.  The creature ran into the woods and disappeared, emitting loud howls.  Police apparently investigated the case.

En juillet 1979 à St-Alexandre en Montérégie au Québec un jeune homme de 19 and dit qu’il a aperçu une grande figure de couleur grise avec des yeux rouges dans un endroit boisé.  Il lui a tiré dessus, et l’a apparemment touché, la blessant.  La créature a couru dans les bois en poussant des hurlements.  La police a apparemment mené une enquête.

 On an early morning of September 1979 near Springhill, Nova Scotia, two men spotted a large hairy creature in a local landfill that they described as a Bigfoot.

 

‘The Cobequid Mountain range stretches from Turo to cape Chignecto where the waters originate in the mountain lakes and spring flow towards the Minas Basin, spilling over escarpments by major fault lines in the rock.’

 

On that particular morning two local men, Benny Bacon and George McLeod, who picked up garbage in a local landfill saw a creature at the edge of the woods and said it was at least eight feet tall and massively built.  There are black bears in that area and the two local men swore this was no bear.  It watched the men for 30 seconds and retreated into the hilly thick woodlands.

 

They were about a half-mile away from the nearest road.

 Diana Fleming and her husband were driving on River Road at around midnight in April 1989, along a deserted road when they spotted a bizarre creature that appeared to be running swiftly behind their car.  It walked upright on two huge hind legs and was dark and hairy in appearance.  The creature had bright glowing red eyes.  Before spotting the creature, they had noticed a dead cat in the middle of the roadway and later saw additional dead cats strewn along the road. 

The area is located near a military installation.

 The Traverspine Gorilla

 A hairy humanoid called the ‘Traverspine Gorilla’ was seen in the area in 1913.  The creature had a white ruff of hair across its head and was seven feet tell when erect though it sometimes dropped on all fours.  The creature visited a local farm often and was seen carrying a stick or a club.

 

On one occasion a little girl was playing in a grassy clearing when a large manlike creature with low hanging arms appeared from out of the woods.  It was seven feet tall, walked on all fours and stood as it approached her.  The creature had a white mane across its head and grinned at the girl showing white teeth.  The creature beckoned her, and she ran away screaming.

 

There were numerous footprints on the mud and snow showing a twelve-inch-long foot, narrow at the heel and forking at the front into two broad-ended toes.

Attempts to capture or hunt the creature failed. 

 

At times the gorilla was seen carrying a club.

Une créature humanoïde a été aperçue en Terre-Neuve en 1913 et a reçu le nom de ‘gorille de Traverspine’.  Il était poilu, avec une rayure blanche sur sa tête comme une crinière.  Il mesurait sept pieds de hauteur et marchait parfois à quatre pattes.  Il était souvent aperçu avec un bâton dans sa main.

 

Un jour, il s’est approché une fillette en train de jouer dans une clairière et semblait lui sourire; il marchait debout et à quatre pattes.  La fillette s’est enfuie en criant, épouvantée.

 Just spoke with a nice man from Quebec, Canada. He had a strange run in with a Wildman last Nov. He was at his cottage in remote Waltham, Quebec. While on his atv, he was blocked by a tree downed on his path. He spent 1 1/2 hours with his chainsaw cutting it up small enough for him to move. He said the whole time, he had a strange feeling he was being watched, and he kept his saw close to him. After finally getting past the tree fall, not 20 feet ahead, a large “man” in a fur coat stepped out into the path, and crossed in front of him. At first his mind told him it was a man that moved into a far cabin, in a “bug jacket”, but on it’s final step, he said he could see it resembled a gorilla, but standing erect, and dark brown. He hollered at it to come back, but it kept on walking(how awesome is that?). He said that 14-15 years ago, there was an eclipse up there. He stepped out on his cottage porch to watch it, and as the moon eclipsed the sun, something screamed like holy heck from his far neighbors cabin, as he stood there shocked, 5 seconds later, another yell came thru, this time RIGHT IN HIS YARD, over by his truck.. there was either two of them, or this thing could move 2 kilometers in 5 seconds.. he’s headed back there next week for 5 days, and said he’s putting a game camera up at his cabin.
