 Anecdote: On October 6th, 2024, at around 12:30, I was driving toward Champlain Lookout on the Gatineau Parkway, soon after it opened.  Up near Belvedere Huron, almost to the top of the mountain I heard a loud tapping sound on the windshield or roof of the car.  The sound was loud and startled me, I was worried that my windshield was cracked.  Luckily, it wasn’t damaged.  The object hit very hard and seemed to have travelled very fast, as if it were thrown.  It seemed small and hard, like a small rock or perhaps an acorn.   The object seemed to have come from the forest on the other side of the road, from a certain height.

 

There were no trees directly above the road, it is paved and I was following behind another car at low speed (40-50 km/h)..  The road was clear and there was no gravel that could have hit my car at such speed.

Anecdote:  Le 6 Octobre, 2024, a environ 12:30, je conduisais vers le Belvédère Champlain sur la Promenade de la Gatineau, peu après que la promenade a été ouverte.  Arrivée près du Belvédère Huron, presqu’au sommet de la montagne, j’ai entendu un bruit de percussion très fort sur mon parebrise ou le toit de ma voiture.  Le son était fort et m’a effrayée, j’étais inquiète que mon parebrise fût brisé.  Par chance, il n’était pas endommagé.  L’objet a frappé très fort et semblait avoir voyagé à haute vitesse, comme s’il avait été lancé.  Ça semblait être un petit objet très dur, comme une petite roche ou un gland.  L’objet semblait venir de la forêt de l’autre côté de la promenade, venant d’une certaine hauteur.

 

Il n’y avait pas d’arbres directement au-dessus du chemin, il était pavé et je suivais un autre véhicule devant moi lentement (40-50 km/h)..  Le chemin était libre et il n’y avait pas de gravier qui aurait pu frapper ma voiture a une telle vitesse.

On July 28, 2026 I was camping with a friend at Reserve Faunique Papineau-Labelle at a lake in the vicinity of Val des Bois, Quebec.  This was a two-day camping (two nights) trip and our first time there.  We camped there from July 27 to July 29^th.  The weather conditions were wet and rainy during the entire three days we were there (see RFPL report).

 

This was the second day of our trip and went hiking on this trail at around noon, in the rain. This trail  leads to an open wetland and vast marsh.  On the way back I noticed a footprint on the ground, with a clear imprint of a heel.   I looked closer and it seemed to have the shape of a human footprint, upon looking closer, there were no claw marks.  I took pictures of it and took out my measuring tape to the visible original length of the print, 12-13 inches long, the print could actually be longer.

 

I looked around for other prints in the mud (there were a lot of wet leaves) and could not find any more.  It was very wet and the print, especially the heel part was filled with water.   It was not fully clear to me whether this could be a bear or possible Hominid.  I took pictures of the print and the surrounding area, and unable to find anything else, we continued on our hike and headed back to camp.

 

I later shared the photo with other researchers, and all ruled in favour of Sasquatch due to the shape of the heel and absence of claw marks.   Note that there was only one visible print, and there were areas covered with leaves, which makes it very difficult to detect a footprint.  This makes it difficult to find a comparison and length of stride.

 

Also as stated in the RFPL report, this area showed a lot of Sasquatch activity during the night around our campsite, including footsteps, repetitive wood knocks in the middle of the night, and even strange talking (reported by friend).

 A dark shape was accidentally caught on video on a trip to King Mountain overlooking the Pontiac region.  This was a second follow up visit after June 25^th.  A large black head was later noticed in the trees in a video; the figure was named ‘Owen’ for reference.

 

This was my second visit to King Mountain lookout after a previous visit on Tuesday June 25^th, 2024; I rode my mountain bike up the mountain.  The Gatineau parkway was closed on this day of the week, so there were very few people.  I had taken pictures and videos at the summit of the mountain overlooking the Pontiac region.  I walked along the rocky ridge and headed back down the trail called sentier du Mont King.  The nearest lake in this area is Black lake near the beginning of the trail.

 

This return visit was on Friday July 12^th, 2024 and I rode my mountain bike up the mountain to King mountain trail and did the same hike.  I made my way to the summit and stopped a while at the lookout on top.  While sitting on the bench, two ladies walked by coming from the opposite direction with their dog.  They greeted me and commented on the hot weather, and moved on.

 

 I took photos and videos of the area, and spanned my camera a few times to capture the view of the Pontiac region, and the multiple berry bushes full of red berries (service berries or huckleberry?).  After a while I headed back in the woods, and down the mountain again.   I got back to my bike and rode back home.

 

It was only ten days later, after reviewing footage, that I noticed on a video from  the second hike, that there was an anomaly in the tree line on the summit of the mountain.  Upon closer examination, it looked like a large round head between the trees.  This video was taken at 10:25 am on July 12^th and lasts about 30 seconds.

 

I checked a picture of that exact location I took on June 25^th, and that dark round shape was not there.

 

I checked again on another photo I took six minutes before taking this video, and a dark shadow is seen behind a branch at that same location.  Moments later, I took this video and in the screenshot of the figure, that branch seems to be pushed aside, revealing the dark head shape.

 

Based on other trees in the area, I estimate the height of this blackish shape to be at around 8 – 9 feet tall (See photos).

 Odd looking creature accidentally photographed and filmed in the vicinity of a lake in Gatineau Park.  The creature appears small and crouching at the top of a hill, was named ‘Willow’ for reference.  

 

I was hiking on this trail from the vicinity of the  parking area, I went on my mountain bike because the Gatineau parkway was closed to private vehicles on that day. 

 

This was my first official visit to investigate any sign of Sasquatch activity in the area. I set off the trail at around 11 am, and stopped next to a rocky and steep hill.  I pulled out my cell phone and camera and took pictures and a video of the area for interest.  I continued on my hike and took the different trail along a marshy wetland to the end. 

 

Once home after my hike, I later reviewed photos and video footage of my visit and I noticed something odd from the steep hill.  It looked like a small figure standing at the very top of the hill as the video panned from one end of the hill to the edge of the water.  The creature seems to be in a sitting or crouching position (see photo), in behind a slanted branch sticking up from the ground.  In the video you can hear the frogs croaking as it was in May and spawning season. The video was taken from my cheap blue Polaroid camera and lasts 28 seconds.  There were no children seen in the area.

 

I also noted in one my photos the same strange looking figure at the top of the hill.  It seemed small, around 3 feet tall, too small to be a large Hominid.  I attempted to climb up the hill but I was unable to.  It was too steep for me and very slippery, and also full of large rocks.

 

I returned to the same trail near the lake on Thursday May 23^rd, 2024 to clarify if this was a tree stump or an actual being.  I walked by the same hill, and took photos again.  I looked for the creature and it was not there.  Upon examining the new photos, the individual was clearly not there, however there was another small reddish figure partially visible behind a tree, that was not there before (see photo).

Note that I did not have an actual sighting of these figures, I only spotted them in photos and video.
