Bigfoot and Human Rights

The existence of Bigfoot has already been proven and discovered; First Nations tribes have already done this, thousands of years ago. The big hurdle now is for the governments and the scientific community to admit and accept this fact, since they already know themselves. Admitting the existence of Hominids in North America opens an embarrassing can of worms for government officials, because they know that Bigfoot would have to be declared a ‘Person’ with basic Human Rights and Federal protection laws. They don’t want to go there.
Non-human bipedal Hominids are highly intelligent and can speak in their own languages. They clearly communicate verbally and non-verbally; they have families and form tribes. They build structures made with branches, that may convey a symbolic or other type of meaning. Above all, they are curious and observant of humans.
These are clearly not animals, but aboriginal tribes of feral people. Just like any other aboriginal people, Sasquatches are entitled to Human Rights and Federal Protection laws.
Assuming the Sasquatch is an ‘animal’ and of an ‘inferior status’ to us constitutes discrimination based on their appearance. Sasquatches are very large, tall, intimidating and are covered with hair. They are naked and live in the wilderness. They do not make tools, weapons or even make fire. The fact that these are very rustic, feral humans does not make them lesser people than us.
This would be repeating the same mistake European and British explorers made, when they arrived in America, and deemed the human Natives ‘savages’ and inferior beings.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was proclaimed by the United Nations Assembly in Paris in December of 1948. It contains 30 Articles and has been translated in over 500 languages. It guarantees the rights and freedoms of every human being regardless of nationality, ethnic background, gender, religion and socio-economic status.
The first five articles of the Declaration should apply to all bipedal Hominids worldwide. Articles 3, 4 and 5 are particularly important because they ensure their physical safety as individuals. Should there be multiple species of Hominids (or different names Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti, etc.), then all of these subspecies of Hominoids should be included.

Article 5 Freedom from Torture and Degrading Treatment
The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples was established on September 13, 2007. Article 7 should also include all bipedal Hominids, relating to the rights to life and freedom:

2. Indigenous peoples have the collective right to live in freedom, peace and security as distinct peoples and shall not be subjected to any act of genocide or any other act of violence, including forcibly removing children of the group to another group.
