Des Sasquatch à Nunavik.

 

 Voici une compilation de témoignages et incidents survenus dans le territoire du Nunavik, dans le Nord du Québec.  Ces cas sont uniquement ceux qui ont été reportés; et il peut en avoir d’autres qui n’ont jamais été soumis nulle part : 

 

 1906 : Des ‘géants semi-humains’ ont été rapportés près de la Baie d’Hudson dans le nord du Québec. Selon un intendant d’un bateau à vapeur dans la baie d’Hudson, des traces ont été suivies par un M. Fournier, mais sans succès à repérer les créatures mystérieuses.  Par contre, M. Fournier entendu leur bavardage, et mentionne leurs tendances cannibales.  (The Gazette, Canadian Associated Press, 1906).  

 

Aout 2003 : un groupe de chasseurs de caribou ont trouvé des traces de pieds grandeur 20 à 24, et d’autres traces de pieds grandeur 10 dans une clairière près des arbres à Kuujjuaq.  (BFRO)

 

 Le 3 septembre 2003 : Un chasseur de caribou Américain, Jimmy Rambone Jr., a disparu vers 15h, étant parti chasser sans les autres chasseurs à Kuujjuaq.  Il a abattu un caribou et a ensuite disparu sans ne laisser aucune trace.  Jimmy Rambone n’a jamais été retrouvé. Le 4 octobre 2012 : La témoin cueillait des baises à Akulivik, Québec, lorsque son amie a aperçu une créature de très grande taille, 10-15 pieds de haut marchant debout le long d’une colline.  La créature était couverte de longs poils foncés.  La créature n’était pas agressive et les femmes sont parties rapidement et l’ont reporté.  (Nunatsiaq News, CBC News)

 

 

Le 29 Aout 2013 : Le témoin, un chasseur de la Nation Cri, a aperçu deux créatures l’observant dans la forêt près de Wemindji, Québec.  Il dit qu’ils avaient les yeux rouges.  Le témoin dit qu’il a aussi trouvé des empreintes de pieds dans la mousse dans les environs le jour suivant, mesurant 20 centimètres, et d’autres mesurant 35 centimètres.  (CBC News)

Sasquatch Activity in Nunavik.

 

 Here is a compilation of reported sightings and incidents that occurred in the territory of Nunavik, in northern Quebec.  These are reported cases; there may be more encounters that were never reported:

 

1906 : ‘Semi Human Giants’ were reported in Hudson Bay in northern Quebec. According to a steamer intendant in Hudson Bay, footprints were tracked by a M.  Fournier, without successfully locating the mysterious creature.  However, M. Fournier mentioned their ‘cannibalistic tendencies’ and heard their gibbering.  (The Gazette, Canadian Associated Press, 1906 via Bigfoot Wild Men & Giants, David Paulides). 

 

 

August 2003 : a group of caribou hunters found footprints measuring size 20 to 24, and others size 10 in a clearing in Kuujjuaq.  (BFRO)

 

September 3, 2003 : An American caribou hunter, Jimmy Rambone Jr., disappeared at around 3 pm, after hunting alone without the other hunters in Kuujjuaq.  He shot and killed a caribou, then disappeared without a trace.  Jimmy Rambone was never found. (Missing 411 : Canada, David Paulides)

 

 October 4, 2012 : A witness was picking berries in Akulivik, Québec, when her friend saw a very tall creature measuring 10-15 feet and walking upright along a hillside.  The creature was covered in long dark hair.  The creature was not aggressive and the women quickly left the area and reported the sighting.  (Nunatsiaq News, CBC News)

 

August 29, 2013 : the witness, a hunter from the Cree Nation, saw two red-eyed creatures watching him in the forest near Wemindji, Quebec.  The witness also found footprints in the moss nearby the next day measuring 20 cm, others measuring 35 cm.  (CBC News)
