SEMI-HUMAN GIANTS.
One Fournier Reports Mysterious Creatures in Wilds of Canada.
(Canadian Associated Press)
London, August 20. -
‘… one Fournier, the steward of a steamer trading in Hudson Bay, reported the existence of a race of semi-human giants. Walter Maunder, the well-known astronomer, in a letter to the Daily Graphic, says there can be no reasonable doubt as to the real nature of these mysterious beings.’ …
‘… in the vast solitudes of Labrador and Northern Canada…’
‘They seem to have strong cannibalistic tendencies. Mr. Maunder describes at length how Fournier on one occasion tracked the mysterious creatures, but never succeeded on seeing them in the open, but heard their gibbering.’
